SATs

SATs are taken by all 11-year-old primary school children at the end of Key Stage 2. The national standards expect children to achieve level 4 at this age; children who achieve level 5 are working above the national average.

As can be seen from the graphs below, Fairfield School children consistently achieve well above the national average. However, given our small class sizes, if one child fails to achieve level 4 this makes a difference of approximately 6% to our score.

Transfer to Senior Schools

We have an outstanding record for preparing children for transfer at age 11 to local independent and maintained senior schools. These schools include:
